In this engaging 30-minute lesson, 7th grade students will learn Kelso’s Choices—nine proactive strategies for resolving minor conflicts independently. By exploring real-life scenarios, practicing decision-making, and reflecting through journal writing, students will gain essential social-emotional skills for navigating disagreements. This Tier 1 classroom lesson boosts self-awareness, promotes positive relationships, and equips all learners with practical conflict-resolution tools.

Students will meet and learn about their school counselor, understanding their role as a helper and friend in school. This lesson builds trust and eases first-day nerves for kindergarteners. (Tier 1, 1 session, 15 minutes)
