This lesson aims to engage young people in a discussion and activity around transportation equity and mobility justice. Through inquiry-based questions, experiential activities, and collaborative learning, participants will explore the current state, challenges, and potential solutions for achieving mobility justice in their community. This lesson is important as it empowers youth to be active participants in advocating for fair and just transportation options.

A community event featuring various stations where participants can celebrate Juneteenth and freedom through storytelling, art, reflection, and music. Stations are set up to allow for passive participation, enabling attendees to engage at their own pace.

Students will simulate a town hall meeting to learn about civic engagement and how to advocate for community needs. They will role-play as community members and local officials, discussing and debating neighborhood issues of their choice.

Children will embark on an adventure in the school garden, searching for wildflowers and matching them with the corresponding images to improve their letter identification skills.
