Kick off the school year with a lively Welcome and Expectations session designed for 2nd graders! In this single 30-minute Tier 1 lesson, students will get to know each other, learn classroom routines, and co-create a positive class contract. Starting the year with clear expectations and a sense of community sets the tone for success and helps students feel safe, valued, and excited to learn.

In this single 30-minute session, 2nd graders will become “Feelings Detectives,” learning to identify and express their emotions through engaging activities and discussions. This lesson builds emotional literacy, helping students recognize feelings in themselves and others—a critical foundation for social skills and well-being.
