In this engaging 8-minute warm-up for 1st graders, students will create a “support squad” chart listing family, friends, and community helpers who can offer emotional support. This activity builds awareness of their personal support networks, strengthens social-emotional skills, and helps them recognize resources in their community. Students will feel empowered and connected as they visualize their own safety net.

In this 7-minute Tier 1 warm-up for 1st graders, students will learn simple breathing and mindfulness techniques while connecting to family and community supports, fostering emotional well-being and awareness of their support network.
