Great Meditation

Ages 11 - 17

This video guides viewers through a 5-minute meditation designed to help manage anxious thoughts. It encourages mindfulness and self-compassion by focusing on breathing techniques and choosing peace in the present moment.
Invite yourself to get into whatever position makes you feel best right now. When you're ready, as long as it feels right to you, lovingly invite those beautiful eyes to softly close as you enter into your own inner experience. For now, I invite you to just get curious about your breath. Very often, when we're experiencing anxiety, it manifests as a unique style of breathing. So, just get curious and observe how your breath is flowing, letting yourself off the hook of any judgments about it throughout this practice. If you find your mind wandering or creating judgments, let yourself know that's okay. None of them are real, and you can choose again in this moment. You get to choose love in each brand new moment, letting your body relax even more deeply now, as we choose peace in our bodies, peace in our hearts, peace in our thoughts, and peace in our actions. I invite you to spend a few breaths really being deliberate with each inhale and exhale, inviting yourself to become aware of what feels best, moment by moment. Experiment with which muscles you use as you breathe, experimenting with different depths of breath.
