Great Meditation

Ages 11 - 17
This video guides viewers through a 5-minute meditation session aimed at clearing the mind and focusing on the breath and body. It encourages mindfulness by observing sensations without judgment and returning focus to the breath when thoughts arise.
Allow yourself to sit comfortably, whatever that looks like for you. Lovingly close your eyes and tune in to your breath, belly and ribcage expanding as you breathe in and releasing as you breathe out. You notice what muscles you're engaging, what sensations you're feeling, and you just observe that without judgment as you let your awareness expand from your breath to your body as a whole, noticing the weight of gravity, the points of contact between you and the surface on which you're resting. Something present here, in your body, connected to your breath. Letting whatever is be. There is nothing to get hung up on, nothing to do. All there is in this moment is you, your breath, and your body. If thoughts emerge, that's perfectly okay. As that happens, instead of focusing on the thought, return your focus to your breath and your body. Feeling very present in your body, connected to your breath, letting that be all there is. It's okay, you don't judge yourself, you just return your focus to your breath and your body. There is nothing else right now. It's like giving yourself a mini-vacation, traveling to a place where all that exists is you.
