Begin by getting into a comfortable seated position shortly after awakening. Keep your spine tall and straight, and roll your shoulders back slightly to open up that magnificent heart of yours. Let your palms rest in your lap, facing open. When you're ready, softly close your eyes. Tune into your heart in the middle of your chest and a couple of inches inwards. Notice how the air flows in and out, letting your belly expand fully on every inhale and contract, even if ever so slightly, on every exhale. Allow yourself to feel as though the air is breathing you, as if there's no restriction. The air just flows freely in and out, and you can sense the sweetness of being alive for yet another beautiful, miraculous morning, taking in each sweet breath of air as the gift that it truly is. You feel your heart becoming thankful for the air, for your body, for this very moment, and you tune into a sense of a swelling of love within you. It grows and expands until you are surrounded by a sphere of love all around you. While relaxing in this energy, you feel a deep sense of knowing within you that indeed all is well, and today will unfold perfectly for you. You may find yourself feeling as though you wish to smile now. Allow yourself to smile if you feel called, feeling the happy energy your smile brings, and noticing how that just amplifies your experience. All is well. You are loved. You are safe. You are cared for. You must be all of these things because you are showing yourself love and compassion. You are caring for yourself right now. Feel deeply appreciated.
