Story: The Dog and His Bone

This video tells the story of Max, a dog who learns a valuable lesson about greed and appreciation. As Max tries to grab a bone he sees in his reflection, he loses his own bone, teaching viewers the importance of valuing what they have.

**The Dog and His Bone** A version of the tale brought to you by The Fable Forest. Meet Max, a happy-go-lucky dog who loves bones. The dog is walking by the street, sniffing around. "Oh boy! A trash can! Maybe I'll get lucky!" The dog passes by the trash can and sees a bone inside. "Yes! A bone! My favorite!" The dog takes the bone from the trash and starts chewing on it. The dog is walking along, enjoying the bone, when he comes across a bridge. "Hmmm... I need to get across this bridge." As the dog starts to cross the bridge, he sees his reflection in the water below. The dog thinks to himself, greedily, "Wow! Another dog with even a bigger bone! I need to get that one too!" The dog tries to grab the other bone, but it's just his own reflection. He opens his mouth and ends up dropping his own bone in the water. "No! My bone! No!" The dog looks down at the water, and then back at his bone, which is floating away. The dog thinks to himself, "I was so greedy! I lost my bone because I wanted something bigger and better. I should have appreciated what I had." The moral of the story is, appreciate what you have and don't be greedy.
