Welcome to Dreamland!

Welcome the class with excitement. Say: “Today we’re going to visit Dreamland and learn why sleep is so important!” Encourage students to wave if they love nap time.

Why Sleep Matters

Explain that sleep is like charging a battery. Ask: “What happens when we don’t charge our toys?” Link to how our bodies need rest.

Step 1: Brush Your Teeth

Show a big toothbrush picture. Ask students to pretend to brush their teeth. Emphasize cleaning away sugar and germs before bed.

Step 2: Put On Cozy Pajamas

Invite a student volunteer to model putting on pajamas (real or pretend). Talk about feeling cozy and warm.

Step 3: Read a Bedtime Story

Hold up a picture book. Ask: “Who likes stories before bed?” Encourage students to share favorite characters.

Step 4: Lights Out and Sweet Dreams

Tell students: “Now we turn off the lights and say goodnight!” Softly dim the room lights to model.
