Slide Deck

Welcome to Body Stories!

Greet the student warmly. Say: “Today we’ll explore the amazing things your body can do!” Then ask: “What’s one thing your body does really well?” Listen and affirm their response.

My Beating Heart

Explain that the heart is a pump that moves blood and gives us energy. Ask: “How does your heart help you when you run?” Use prompts from the Encouraging Narration Script if needed.

Mighty Muscles

Describe how muscles work in pairs to help us move. Ask: “What’s your favorite way your muscles help you?” Encourage the student to point to or name a muscle.

Breathing Lungs

Talk about how lungs take in air and give our body oxygen. Ask: “How do your lungs help you when you’re active?” Offer sentence starters as needed.

Thinking Brain

Explain that the brain is like a computer that helps us think, learn, and remember. Ask: “What’s your favorite thing your brain helps you do?”
