Building Bridges: Empathy & Communication

Welcome students to the lesson. Briefly introduce yourself and explain that today’s focus is on building empathy and improving communication skills.

Today's Objectives

Read through each objective and tie it back to real-life situations. Ask students if any objectives stand out to them.

Warm-Up: Think-Pair-Share

Explain the Think-Pair-Share process. Remind students to use index cards and the timer for 3 minutes per partner.

Role-Playing Activity

Divide students into groups of four and distribute one [Role-Playing Scenario Card](#scenario-cards-building-bridges) per group. Remind them to rotate roles halfway through.

Guided Discussion Questions

Project each question one at a time. Encourage students to build on one another’s responses and acknowledge different perspectives.
