Coping Strategies: An Overview

This slide introduces the different coping strategies available to help handle bullying. Emphasize real-life applicability and interactive engagement. Ask the student to reflect on each strategy and consider how they might use them in their own experiences.

Strategy 1: Assertiveness Training

Detailing specific coping strategies, this slide includes direct examples. Encourage discussion on how each strategy might make the student feel safer or more assertive.

Strategy 2: Mindfulness & Relaxation

Introduce relaxation and mindfulness techniques to manage emotions. Suggest a short breathing exercise demonstration if possible.

Showcase ways to seek support from trusted individuals as a coping strategy. It enhances the notion of community and shared support.
