Welcome the students and introduce the lesson topic. Emphasize that it's okay to feel anxious and that today's lesson is about learning simple ways to feel better.

Understanding Our Feelings

Use simple language to explain that it's normal to feel different emotions. Ask simple questions to engage the students about times they've felt nervous or scared.

Deep Breathing

Explain and demonstrate the deep breathing exercise. Use visual aids if available by referring to the calming techniques visual guide. Show them how to take slow, deep breaths in and out.

Our Calm Down Corner

Introduce the calm down corner. Explain the purpose of this space in the classroom. Mention the calming objects available such as soft toys and pictures. Encourage children to visit this area when they need to feel better.
