

Students will learn to recognize feelings of frustration and defiance, practice three simple calm-down strategies (deep breathing, visualizing a calm jar, and using calm-down cards), and articulate which strategy helps them return to a calm state.
Early self-regulation skills reduce defiant outbursts, build emotional awareness, and support positive classroom engagement. Teaching these strategies one-on-one ensures the child masters techniques tailored to their needs.
