Students will explore and evaluate various stress-management tools, assemble a personalized calm kit, and reflect on each tool’s effectiveness to support emotional regulation.

Toolbox Item Demonstrations

Use this opening slide to introduce the purpose of the deck. Emphasize that students will see a range of calming tools they can try hands-on in the next activity.

Deep Breathing Strips

Briefly demonstrate how to use the deep breathing strip. Encourage students to mimic your breathing as you talk through the prompts.

Stress Balls

Show a real stress ball if available. Invite a volunteer to squeeze it while you review the slide.

Fidget Spinners

Demonstrate the spinner’s motion. Encourage students to think about the sensory input they feel.

Scented Playdough

Pass around a small container of scented playdough if possible. Invite students to take a whiff and mold a bit.

Coloring Sheets

Show sample coloring sheet patterns. Explain how focused coloring can reduce stress.

Noise-Cancelling Headphones

Explain that noise-cancelling ear defenders block out loud sounds. If you have a demo pair, try them on.
