Slide Deck

Can You Help Me?

Welcome students to our lesson on helping each other! Introduce the slide deck and get them excited. Show real toys or props if available.

What Does “Help” Mean?

Briefly explain the meaning of help. Use a prop (like a puzzle piece) to demonstrate someone needing help. Ask students what help means.

Asking for Help

Model the phrase clearly and slowly. Point to your mouth and the words on screen. Invite students to repeat with you two times.

Offering to Help

Model this response with enthusiasm. Show a helping gesture (thumbs up, pointing). Have students echo the phrase.

Try It Together!

Pair students up. Instruct one to ask and the other to offer help. Then swap roles. Circulate and celebrate attempts.

You’re All Helpers!

Applaud the class’s efforts. Remind them they can use these words all day when they need help or want to help.
