Welcome slide. Briefly introduce today’s activity: explain that we will practice greeting, taking turns, and asking questions with a partner.

Objective

Read aloud the lesson objective. Ask students: “What is a greeting?” to activate prior knowledge.

Materials

Show each material or its picture. Explain how to use the Conversation Starter Cards, Talking Stick, Timer, and Checklist.

Warm-Up (3 minutes)

Have students sit in a circle. Model a greeting and question with the talking stick. Emphasize clear voice and eye contact.

Main Activity (10 minutes)

Distribute cards and talking stick. Set the timer for 2 minutes. Circulate, observe with the checklist, and give positive feedback.

Cool-Down (2 minutes)

Invite volunteers to share examples. Highlight strong greetings, good turn-taking, and thoughtful questions.

Close the lesson by reminding students to keep practicing these skills at recess, lunch, and with friends.
