Introduction & Goal Setting
Welcome the student warmly. Explain: “Today we’ll talk about respect—why it’s important and how our choices affect others. By the end, you’ll pick one behavior to work on.” Ask: “What’s one thing you want to improve today?”
Identify Inappropriate Behaviors
Show 2–3 scenario cards from the [Respect Boundaries Scenario Cards](#respect-scenario-cards). For each, ask: “What’s happening? What’s not okay here?” Affirm correct answers and clarify any misunderstanding.
Explore Respectful Boundaries
Hand out the [Behavior Reflection Worksheet](#behavior-reflection-worksheet). Guide the student to list:
1. Personal boundaries (what makes them comfortable)
2. Peer boundaries (respecting others’ space & feelings)
Ask: “Why do these boundaries matter?”
Practice Positive Responses
Choose one scenario for role-play. Prompt the student to practice saying:
• “Please stop.”
• “That makes me uncomfortable.”
• Or walk away calmly.
Offer feedback on tone and body language.
Review Consequences & Commit
Use the [Choice and Consequence Chart](#choice-consequence-chart). Fill out one row: the respectful behavior you’ll commit to this week and its positive outcome. Praise the student’s plan and schedule a brief follow-up.
