Welcome to Our Circle of Control!

Welcome slide: Introduce the concept of the Circle of Control in simple terms. Remind teachers to ask the children if they know what 'control' means in everyday life.

What is Control?

Explain the idea of control. Use visual aids by drawing a circle on the board, dividing it into two sections. Encourage responses from children.

Introduce the original video component of the lesson. Prepare children for visual learning. Make sure they are attentive and ready to watch the video about examples of control.

New additional video: Explain the 'upstairs' and 'downstairs' brain concept to help children understand why we sometimes lose control of our emotions. Encourage teachers to pause the video as needed and discuss key moments.

What Can I Control?

Guide the children through interactive discussion. Use visuals if available to sort examples. Help them decide whether an example fits within what they can control.

Great Job!
