Confidence Compass: Navigating New Challenges

Welcome students. Explain that a Confidence Compass helps guide your decisions by pointing toward what you’re good at and what you love. Introduce today’s goal: build your personal compass to navigate challenges like exams or new grades.

Discover Your Strengths

Introduce the Strengths quadrant. Ask students to list 5 personal strengths. Encourage specific examples (e.g., “good listener,” “quick learner”). After 5 minutes, have students pair up and share two strengths each.

Explore Your Passions

Define Passions and explain why they energize us. Ask students to list 3 activities or subjects they’re passionate about. Have students discuss in pairs how these passions connect to their strengths.

Construct Your Compass

Hand out the [Confidence Compass Worksheet](#confidence-compass-worksheet). Ask students to transfer their top 3 strengths and top 2 passions onto the compass diagram. Remind them to draw arrows showing how strengths support passions and to use creative elements.

Reflect & Apply

Invite 3–4 volunteers to present their compasses. Facilitate a class reflection: How can you use your compass when facing exams or new challenges? Conclude by summarizing key takeaways and encouraging students to keep their compass visible.
