Welcome the students and introduce the lesson. Explain that today we’ll learn skills to manage anger so we can stay calm and focused.

Today's Objectives

Read the objectives aloud. Emphasize that by the end of today, they’ll know their personal triggers and have practiced two new tools.

Why Manage Anger?

Explain why managing anger is helpful. Ask for quick thumbs-up if they agree with each benefit.

What Is an Anger Trigger?

Define “anger trigger.” Show a few example cards. Hold up the [Anger Trigger Cards](#anger-trigger-cards) deck.

Recognize Your Triggers

Distribute the trigger cards. Give students 1–2 minutes to look at theirs and think of a time it happened.

Deep-Breathing (4-7-8 Technique)

Display the [Deep-Breathing Steps Poster](#deep-breathing-steps-poster). Model each step slowly.

Let's Practice Deep-Breathing

Lead the class through three full rounds. Count aloud to keep everyone on track.

Stop – Think – Act Method

Hand out the [Stop-Think-Act Handout](#stop-think-act-handout). Review each step with examples.

Role-Play Activity

Pair students up and distribute [Role-Play Scenario Cards](#role-play-scenario-cards). Circulate to prompt use of Stop-Think-Act.
