Introduce the session, welcome students and briefly explain what coping skills are and why they are important. Set the tone for an interactive and engaging lesson.

What are Coping Skills?

Discuss what coping skills mean. Ask students if they have heard the term and share any quick examples from their own experience. Explain that coping skills are like tools that help us when things get tough.

Why Do We Need Them?

Guide the discussion on why it’s important to know coping skills. Encourage questions and brief input from students about situations where they might need these skills.

Interactive Activity

Introduce the activity phase. Remind students to refer to their printed activity sheets and handouts. Instruct students to either work in pairs or small groups to brainstorm coping strategies for stressful situations.

Reflection & Wrap-Up

Wrap up the session by summarizing the key points discussed. Invite a few students to share one coping strategy from their brainstorming. Reinforce the idea that these skills are superpowers they can use every day.
