Coping Toolbox Lesson Plan

Students will learn and practice five coping strategies—deep breathing, progressive muscle relaxation, guided imagery, mindful observation, and positive self-talk—to manage stress and emotions in the classroom.

Teaching coping tools empowers students to self-regulate, enhance focus, and build a supportive peer environment, reducing disruptive behavior and anxiety.
