Lesson Objectives

What Is a Conflict?

Ask students: What examples of conflict have you seen or experienced? List a few on the board.

Step 1: Stop & Listen

Explain Step 1 and show a quick demonstration with a student volunteer.

Step 2: Share Feelings

Model sharing feelings using “I” statements (e.g., “I feel sad when…”).

Step 3: Brainstorm Solutions

Brainstorm solutions with the class: list multiple ideas before choosing one.

Step 4: Agree on Action

Emphasize the importance of both sides agreeing on what comes next.

Scenario Role-Plays

Explain how students will work in groups with scenario cards to practice all four steps.

Group Discussion

Invite each group to share their scenario and solution. Note strong examples on chart paper.

Your Reflection

Distribute the reflection worksheet and guide students through the prompt.
