Decisions, Decisions!

Introduce the lesson by explaining that today we will focus on decisions, why they are important, and how to make good decisions. Encourage students to think about the small and big decisions they make every day.

What Are Decisions?

Discuss the meaning of decisions with students. Ask them to give examples of decisions they make in their daily lives (e.g., what to wear, what snack to choose, etc.).

Types of Decisions

Briefly introduce different types of decisions - small everyday decisions vs. big decisions which often require more thought. Ask students if they can think of any examples.

The Decision-Making Process

Outline a simple process for decision-making with the class. The steps could include: identifying the decision, exploring options, weighing pros and cons, and making a choice. Invite students to share their ideas on each step.

Interactive Questions

Engage students with a few interactive questions about decision-making. These can be used to spur group discussion or class conversation.

Wrap-Up & Reflection

Wrap up the lesson by summarizing the key points. Encourage students to reflect on how they can use these strategies in their own lives and invite any final questions.
