Welcome the student and set a positive tone. Introduce the session title and remind them they are an Emotion Detective today.

Check-In & Warm-Up

Guide the student through a mood check. Ask them how they feel on a 1–5 scale and explain what today’s goal is.

Introduction to Basic Emotions

Display or refer to the Emotion Wheel. Name each emotion and ask for a personal example.

Self-Reflection Activity

Hand out the reflection worksheet. Explain the three prompts and give the student time to write.

Guided Practice with Scenarios

Introduce the scenario cards. Have the student read each, identify the emotion, and connect to personal experience.

Formative Assessment Quiz

Explain the quick quiz. Hand it out, have the student label each item, then review answers together.

Wrap-Up & Next Steps

Summarize the session, praise the student for their detective work, and preview the next session’s focus on managing emotions.
