Slide Deck

Welcome to Emotion Explorers!

Welcome the students and introduce the activity. Emphasize that today's art is about exploring how they feel. Encourage them to think about different times when they've felt happy, sad, or excited. Mention that their emotion wheel is a fun way to show these feelings with colors.

What Are Emotions?

Use this slide to define what an emotion is in simple terms. Ask students to share examples of times they've felt this way. Point to common emotions they might use throughout the activity.

Your Emotion Wheel

This slide introduces the emotion wheel activity. Explain how the wheel works: each section represents a different emotion. Encourage students to choose colors that remind them of each feeling. Remind them there are no right or wrong choices.

Examples of Emotions

Show sample images or icons on the slide representing different emotions. This visual cue helps students associate a color or an icon with specific feelings. Ask guiding questions like 'Why do you think blue might represent sadness?'

Discussion Time

Include instructions for starting the interactive discussion. Explain that after making their wheels, they'll share with the class. Encourage supportive and positive feedback from their peers.

Wrap-Up & Reflection

Close the lesson by summarizing what was learned. Remind them that understanding emotions is important and that each feeling is a part of who they are.
