Lesson Plan

Emotion Explorers Session 1

Introduce second graders to five basic emotions (happy, sad, angry, surprised, scared) by building vocabulary and practicing recognition through visuals and a story-based activity.

Building emotional vocabulary and recognition helps students communicate feelings, build empathy, and develop social-emotional skills to support positive interactions and self-awareness.
