What Is Professional Etiquette?

Define etiquette and relate it to respect and confidence. Ask students for examples of good and poor etiquette.

Greeting Etiquette

Discuss the elements of a strong greeting. Demonstrate a firm handshake and appropriate eye contact.

Communication Etiquette

Cover verbal and nonverbal communication. Encourage active listening and polite language.

Presentation & Posture

Explain how posture and appearance support your message. Show examples of good vs. poor posture.
