Slide Deck

Focus, Please!

Welcome students and introduce the lesson. Say: “Today we’re going to learn how to stop talking and focus like experts. We’ll use special cues, countdown cards, mindful breathing, and a tracker chart to help us succeed!”

Our Attention Cue

Hold up the Attention Cue Card. Ask: “What does this cue mean when you see it?” Guide students to reply: “Voices off, eyes forward, hands still.”

Quiet Countdown Cards

Show the Quiet Countdown Cards. Explain that when you hold up a card, students lower their voices from 5 down to 1 to get quiet.

Play the Quiet Bell Sound Effect. Ring the bell three times. After each ring, lead one slow breath in and out. Model eyes closed, then open quietly.

Focus Tracker Activity

Distribute the Focus Tracker Chart and Focus Star Stickers. Explain: “We’ll ring the bell for one minute of quiet focus. If you stay quiet and attentive, you earn a star!”

Steps to Quiet Focus

Review each step with the class to reinforce the routine.

Reflection & Celebration

Ask students: “How did it feel to focus quietly?” Praise their effort. Say: “Great job! Tomorrow, let’s earn even more stars by following our steps!”
