Welcome students and introduce the Focus Power-Up session. Emphasize that today they’ll learn quick, practical strategies to boost attention during classwork.

Brain Breaks: Recharge Your Focus

Explain what brain breaks are and why they matter. Model one quick stretch or breathing movement before moving on.

Strategy 1: Task Chunking

Introduce task chunking. Use a sample homework assignment to demonstrate how to break it into manageable steps.

Strategy 2: Timed Focus Sprints

Explain focus sprints and set up a visible timer demo. Encourage students to try a 5-minute sprint right away.

Strategy 3: Optimal Desk Setup

Show examples of a tidy vs. cluttered desk. Highlight how an organized space reduces visual distractions.

Set SMART Focus Goals

Walk through each element of SMART goals. Use a real student example to demonstrate creating a SMART focus goal.

Reflection & Next Steps

Guide students to reflect aloud or jot down their thoughts. Encourage peer feedback and next-step planning.
