Welcome students! Introduce the lesson: Today we’ll learn what makes a good friend and practice friendship skills together.

What Is a Friend?

Ask: What is a friend? Write answers on the board. Highlight caring, playing, helping.

Friendship Quality: Kindness

Discuss examples of kindness: sharing a snack, offering help when someone falls.

Friendship Quality: Sharing

Invite students to share a time they shared a toy or game.

Friendship Quality: Listening

Model good listening: make eye contact, nod, and repeat back.

Friendship Quality: Respect

Explain respect: use polite words and take turns in games.

Practice Time
