Slide Deck

Friendship Adventure Quest

Welcome students to the Friendship Adventure Quest! Introduce yourself and explain that today they’ll help find the Magical Friendship Gem by working together. Point out the slide colors reflect our forest theme.

Warm-Up: High-Five Chain

Lead the High-Five Chain icebreaker. Model giving a high-five and using a positive adjective. Emphasize SEL vocab: cooperation and positive reinforcement.

Our Mission: The Magical Friendship Gem

Set the scene: The Magical Forest is fading because the Friendship Gem is lost. Use expressive storytelling to engage imaginations. Highlight empathy and perspective-taking.

Meet Our Friends

Introduce characters as avatars for different SEL strengths. Encourage kids to relate and pick a favorite to “play” during challenges.

Brainstorming Teamwork

Use guided questions to brainstorm teamwork strategies. Write student ideas on chart paper to reference during challenges.

Collaborative Challenge 1

Explain roles: leader, listener, encourager. Distribute Story Challenge Card #1. Circulate and prompt groups to use clear communication and cooperation.

Collaborative Challenge 2

After about 8 minutes, bring students back and reshuffle groups. Encourage them to apply ‘active listening’ and ‘teamwork’ from the brainstorm.

Cooperative Game: Friendship Quest

Introduce the game board and tokens. Model one turn, demonstrating discussion of a friendship scenario. Reinforce using empathy and perspective-taking.

Reflection & Closing

Distribute reflection worksheets. Encourage creativity in drawing or writing. Invite volunteers to share, celebrating each student’s cooperative spirit.
