Friendship Fuel

Welcome students. Introduce the lesson: “Friendship Fuel.” Explain that over the next 30 minutes they’ll explore what makes strong friendships and practice skills to build supportive relationships.

Lesson Objectives

Read the objectives aloud. Emphasize why each is important. Relate objectives to real-life experiences.

What Makes a Good Friend?

Ask: “What qualities do we value in a friend?” Record responses on the board. Show sample qualities and discuss why each matters.

Reflection Activity

Distribute the Friendship Reflection Worksheet. Explain the prompts. Give students 5 minutes to write privately, then have them share one insight with a partner.

Role-Play Scenarios

Divide students into groups of 3–4. Hand out scenario cards. Instruct them to role-play two scenarios, focusing on positive communication. Circulate and support as needed.

Debrief & Closing

Invite volunteers to share takeaways. Highlight top qualities and communication strategies. Encourage students to apply these skills this week.
