Friendship Uncovered

Use this slide to welcome students and introduce the topic of friendship. Ask students to think about what friendship means to them and share examples. Prompt them to notice the image of two friends playing together.

What Makes a Good Friend?

Pose the question to the class: “What makes someone a good friend?”. Encourage turn-and-talk or volunteer responses. Record answers on chart paper. Emphasize traits of positive communication such as kindness, listening, and respect.

Key Friendship Qualities

Review the qualities students shared. Highlight the top qualities and encourage students to practice them. Reinforce that friendship is built through kindness, listening, trust, support, and respect.
