Future Pathways Quest

Welcome students to the Future Pathways Quest. Introduce yourself and explain that today’s session is all about exploring college and career possibilities. Give a quick overview of the agenda and time limits.

Today’s Objectives

Read each objective aloud. Ensure students understand what they will achieve by the end of the session.

What Is College? What Is a Career?

Walk students through the definitions. Ask for examples when possible.

Why Set Goals Now?

Engage students by asking them to think-pair-share why setting goals early can help them succeed.

Step 1: Interest Survey

Distribute the Student Interest Survey. Emphasize honest reflection. Walk around to support.

Step 2: Career Cards Activity

Form groups of 3–4. Provide each group with a Career Cards Deck. Circulate and prompt discussion.

Step 3: Reflection & Next Steps

Give each student the Career Pathway Chart Worksheet. Guide them through mapping skills, subjects, and steps.

Share Your Goal

Invite volunteers to share their academic goal and explain their thinking. Praise effort and connect back to objectives.
