Lesson Plan

Hands And Words Safe Lesson Plan

Students will identify why spitting, kicking, hitting, and name-calling are unacceptable and practice respectful alternatives through reading, discussion, activities, and a brief assessment.

Teaching safe and respectful behavior builds empathy, social competence, and ensures positive interactions for a student with autism. Understanding and practicing alternatives to aggression promotes a supportive learning environment and real-life social skills.
