Welcome the students and introduce the lesson. Explain that today we’ll meet special helpers called Hygiene Heroes who keep us clean and healthy.

Ask students: “What do you do to stay healthy every day?” Solicit 2–3 volunteers, then introduce today’s topic.

Have students gather on the carpet. Display the story document and guide them through the read-aloud.

After reading, point out each hero’s tool and ask comprehension questions: “Why does the dentist use that mirror?”

Hand out the coloring worksheet and crayons. Encourage neat coloring and drawing of a healthy habit from home.

Display the discussion sheet on chart paper. Call on 3–4 students to share their favorite hero and habit. Record responses.

Review the key points. Ask students to turn to a neighbor and tell one healthy habit they’ll practice today. Praise their ideas.
