Welcome to Kindness Counts!

Introduce the concept of kindness. Emphasize that being kind helps us feel happy and helps others too. Explain that we'll learn through a story and then act out kind behaviors.

Story Time: A Kind Act

Read the short story from the lesson plan to show examples of kindness. Ask students to think of a time they experienced kindness.

Let's Act It Out!

Set up the role-playing activity. Encourage students to act out a kind act or gesture, reminding them that every small act makes a big difference.

Craft Time: Our Kindness Tree

Guide students to make their own paper kindness trees as a visual reminder of their commitment to kindness. Collect shared ideas from students.
