Welcome students! Introduce the lesson: In the next 15 minutes, we’ll explore what kindness means, discuss real-life scenarios, reflect on our own acts of kindness, and pledge to do something kind this week.

Briefly outline the flow: defining kindness, discussing scenarios, reflecting, and pledging. This orients students to what’s coming.

Prompt students: “What does kindness mean to you?” Capture responses on the board, encouraging them to build on each other’s ideas.

Read aloud 2–3 quick scenarios (e.g., someone sitting alone, a classmate struggling with homework). Ask: “What could you do?” Invite volunteers.

Distribute [Kindness Reflection Worksheet](#kindness-reflection-worksheet) and pencils. Ask students to choose one act of kindness, describe it, and decide when they’ll do it.

Invite a few students to share their chosen act. Hand out index cards for all to write: “This week I will…”. Collect and display as a visual reminder.

Wrap up by highlighting how each small act adds up to a kinder community. Encourage students to look at the pledge display throughout the week.
