Welcome everyone! Today we’re introducing our lesson “Kindness Rocks!” Explain that we’ll be painting rocks with kind messages to share with friends or around the school. Highlight the 30-minute duration and Kindergarten audience.

Tell students our three goals for today. Read each bullet slowly and check for understanding.

Have students sit in a circle. Ask: “What does kindness mean?” Invite 2–3 examples. Show a sample painted rock and read its message aloud.

Point out each material as you list it. Confirm all students see the rocks, paints, brushes, and cards before moving on.

Explain each step clearly. Demonstrate painting a base coat, waiting, and then writing a message. Circulate to support spelling and technique.

Bring students back to the circle. Invite volunteers to share their rock and message. Hand out reflection sheets and guide them: draw or write one thing you learned today.

Encourage students to place rocks around the school halls, playground, or give them to friends. Reinforce that small acts of kindness brighten everyone’s day.
