Welcome students. Introduce yourself and today’s lesson. Explain that we will learn about our "magic words" and how to use them with good listening and body language.
Read the objective aloud. Ask: “Why is respectful communication important?” Take a few responses and affirm.

Ask the class “What are our magic words?” Chart their ideas (please, thank you, excuse me, etc.). Acknowledge all contributions.
Respect Communication Anchor Chart
Display the Respect Communication Anchor Chart. Review each part: polite words, tone, eye contact, and body position.
Polite Language & Body Language
Show the Polite Language and Body Language Posters. Point out examples and invite students to read aloud.
Model active listening with a volunteer or co-teacher. Demonstrate good eye contact, nodding, and asking a follow-up question.
Explain the role-play activity. Divide students into groups, hand out scenario cards, and circulate to support.
Distribute Reflection Worksheet. Give students 2–3 minutes to write or draw their responses. Invite a few volunteers to share.
