Exploding Feelings Volcano Lesson Plan

Students will build and “erupt” Play-Doh volcanoes to identify anger triggers, practice safe emotional release, and learn calming strategies.

Middle schoolers often struggle to recognize and manage anger. This engaging, hands-on lesson helps students become aware of their triggers, channel emotions constructively, and practice coping skills, promoting self-regulation and a positive classroom climate.
