Establish a consistent 5-minute daily mindfulness routine using guided breathing, countdowns, and reflection to boost students’ focus and self-management.

Regular short mindfulness breaks help 10th graders regulate emotions, reduce stress, and increase concentration—fostering a calmer, more productive classroom culture.

Mindful Breathing

Welcome to the Guided Breathing Visuals. Use this first slide to introduce the practice. Explain that you’ll lead students through one full inhale–hold–exhale cycle, repeating as desired. Display for about 10–15 seconds before advancing.

Inhale

Advance to this slide and begin a 4-second inhale. Encourage students to follow the growing circle or number. Auto-advance after 4 seconds if possible.

Hold

Hold the breath here for 2 seconds. Prompt students to notice the stillness. Auto-advance after 2 seconds.

Exhale

Exhale slowly over 6 seconds. Invite students to release tension as they follow the countdown. Auto-advance after 6 seconds.
