Slide Deck

Mindfulness 101

Welcome the student. Introduce the concept of mindfulness: paying attention on purpose, in the present moment, without judgment. Explain that regular practice can improve self-control, reduce stress, and enhance focus.

Guided Breathing

Lead the student through a 4-minute breathing exercise. Read each step slowly, pausing to allow practice. Observe posture and breathing, offering gentle corrections. Emphasize relaxing the shoulders and belly.

Visualization Practice

Guide the student into a 5-minute visualization. Encourage vivid sensory details. Use prompts: “What colors do you see?” “What sounds surround you?” “How does the air feel on your skin?” Remind them to release tension.

Putting It All Together

Use the Mindful Reflection Guide to prompt journaling or discussion. Ask the student to share observations and feelings. Summarize benefits: improved self-control, reduced anxiety. Encourage daily practice and set next session time.
