Mood Mastery Lesson Plan

Students will learn six essential emotional regulation and coping skills—deep breathing, positive self-talk, mindfulness, mood logging, physical activity, and creative expression—and practice applying each to real-life scenarios to build a personalized Mood Mastery Toolkit.

Helping 5th graders identify and manage their emotions builds resilience, supports academic focus, and fosters positive social interactions. This targeted session equips them with concrete strategies for everyday challenges.
