Lesson Plan

Mood Meter Meetup Lesson Plan

Students will identify and share their current emotions by placing a name clip on a large mood meter and using feeling words to describe their state, fostering self-awareness and peer empathy.

Building emotional literacy helps kindergarteners recognize and label feelings, supports classroom community, and promotes self-regulation from the start of the day.
