Welcome to 'My Body, My Rules'

Welcome the students and begin the session by introducing the concept of personal boundaries using visuals. Explain that everyone has the right to feel safe and comfortable with their own personal space, and establishing personal touch rules helps protect that space.

Understanding Personal Boundaries

Highlight that personal boundaries differ from person to person. Encourage the students to think about what makes them feel comfortable with physical contact. Use relatable examples to ease understanding.

Scenarios and Feelings

Introduce different scenarios in which boundaries might be important. Ask questions like, 'How do you feel when someone invades your personal space?' to initiate reflection among the students.

Group Discussion

Encourage group discussion for establishing rules. Have students think about and share what types of touches make them feel uncomfortable, and which touches are okay. Guide discussion with prompting questions.

Write Your Personal Touch Rules

Explain the next step of writing their own personal touch rules. Provide clear directions and support as they begin to articulate what makes them feel safe and respected.

Wrap-Up & Reflection

Wrap up by summarizing the key lessons about personal boundaries, self-respect, and the importance of communication. Encourage students to use these rules in everyday interactions.
