Lesson Plan

Pause Power Plan

Students will learn to pause and apply self-control strategies to resist impulses in common classroom scenarios, reflect on personal triggers, and watch a focused video on coping mechanisms to support better decision-making.

Many 6th graders struggle with impulsive behaviors that disrupt learning and relationships. Including a middle‐school–friendly video on coping mechanisms reinforces pause strategies and builds stronger self-regulation skills.
