Welcome students! Introduce yourself and the lesson’s title. Briefly explain why learning to fill out a job application is useful now and later.

Lesson Objective

Read aloud the objective. Emphasize “purpose” and “accuracy.” Ask if any questions about what they’ll achieve today.

Warm-Up Discussion

Prompt: “Have you or someone you know ever filled out a form?” Encourage 2–3 student responses. Highlight importance of neatness and accuracy.

Sections of a Job Application

Display the blank form on the projector. Point to each section as you introduce it.

Personal Info & Education

Walk through the “Personal Information” and “Education” sections. Show example entries on the projected [Sample Completed Job Application](#sample-completed-application).

Work Experience & References

Explain what to include under work experience (even informal jobs) and how to list references. Use the sample as guide.

Guided Practice

Hand out the [Blank Job Application Form Template](#blank-job-application-form-template). Guide students step-by-step through the first two sections.

Peer Review

Pair students. Provide a quick checklist for peers to use. Listen to pairs and offer feedback.

Wrap-Up Reflection

Invite 2–3 volunteers to share a challenge or key takeaway. Reinforce why neatness and accuracy matter in real life.
